Manufacturers with strength can customize any thickness within 2.5~100mm. The thickness below 4mm is called ultra-thin board, 4~12mm is called conventional board, 15-30mm and above is called thick board, 30mm and above is called super thick board, the cement board used for interior decoration is mainly conventional board (4~12mm).

2、Next classification description
a. Ette board: a kind of fiber-reinforced silicate flat board, which is a kind of fiber cement board. It can be seen from the positioning in the picture that it has high strength and no asbestos, so its quality is better than ordinary fiber cement board.

It is not difficult to explain why many design projects are labeled with Etter board. Remind one thing: Etter board is the same as Ozon board, it is just a trademark brand.

b. FC board: It is the abbreviation of fiber cement board, and its strength is slightly weaker than that of Ette board, meanwhile, FC board is also a trademark.

c. Fiber cement pressure board: it is what we call cement pressure board, the properties and performance can be referred to the coordinate chart.

It is added here that both FC board and cement pressure board can be divided into 2 types of chrysotile and non-asbestos, but there are mostly chrysotile cement board in the market, so it is counted as chrysotile cement board in our diagram.

d. Ordinary cement board: It is the lowest grade product commonly used, not made with added fiber, cheap and low strength, and has been rarely used in interior decoration projects.

PS: Asbestos fiber is a carcinogenic substance, so asbestos fiber cement board can not be used in hospitals, food factories and other buildings, and the board without asbestos fiber is made of paper pulp, wood chips, glass fiber to replace the asbestos fiber to play a reinforcing role, such as Ette board.

a, calcium silicate board and cement board processing raw materials are different, one is calcium silicate, one is cement.

b. The conventional thickness of calcium silicate board is about 6~12mm, while the thickness of cement board can be 2.5~100mm.

The most thickness range of calcium silicate board is from 4 to 30mm, and the thickness below 4mm and above 30mm cannot be made.

c. Due to the difference of weather resistance, calcium silicate board is suitable for interior base and can replace gypsum board for indoor ceiling and wall, while cement board is mostly used for exterior installation.

4、The application in practice

b、When the finish material has fireproof, moisture-proof, wear-resistant, or needs cement mortar plastering requirements, cement board will be used as the base plate.

Such as: bathroom steel frame partition wall, kitchen steel frame partition wall, basement partition wall, ultra-thin partition wall tile finish and other cases.

As a regular thickness of the base plate, cement board or calcium silicate board, in terms of construction practices, and other wood, gypsum board does not have any difference, are used to nail the form of fixed.

The only difference is that when fixing calcium silicate board on the steel frame wall, it is recommended to use dovetail screws.

Cement board thickness less than 10mm, and as a veneer panel material, you can also consider gluing to install.
